Saturday, October 3rd we had the best time celebrating our fall hemp harvest on our farm in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. We started the day at 10am when guests from all over Tennessee started arriving to learn about the process of hemp harvesting. Everything was set up into separate stations, guests loaded up in groups onto hay rides and traveled out to our hemp fields. Once in the hemp fields we taught them all about the types of hemp, how long they’ve been growing, fun facts and about how to tell if the hemp is ready to harvest. Each guest got a chance to pick out a plant and check it’s buds to make sure it was ready to harvest — then harvest it themselves! After everyone had their hemp plant they loaded back up and came back to the barn where each station was another step in the hemp harvest. They hung their hemp plants up for drying and went on to station one where they learned how to strip the plant, then how we cut down the buds, and so on and so on til it came time to learn about how we make products. Guests even had the opportunity to make their own pre-roll to take home! It was great to educate hundreds of participants throughout the day on farming, harvesting and the benefits of hemp!
We had several vendors all through the day for guests to shop from and talk with from crafts to fried pies — home made maple syrup products, food trucks and of course we had all of our Kingdom Acres CBD and Hemp products available for 25% off. It was such a great event for people of all ages, with kids running around petting the animals and playing in the corn pit with their siblings. Many played yard games, enjoyed shopping and danced to the live music entertainment. As the evening went on there were swing dancing lessons and everyone really enjoyed the fellowship with each other. We couldn’t be happier with the turn out and getting a chance to meet so many people from our community and surrounding communities to share our products and our farm with them. We look forward to so many more fun cod and hemp events in the future and to continue to educate and provide fun interactional experiences for people about this amazing plant — cannabis. If you missed the Hemp Crumble this year — don’t worry it’ll be back next harvest and mark your calendars for this November 20 – 22 for our Holiday Farm Festival. We hope to see you there!
